– If it doesn’t prohibit fire building, be aware of the weather- is it dry and hot? Maybe you should try to go without the fire!

– If you are building, make sure it is 15 feet away from tents, trees, shrubs, and Continue reading →

Full containment is said to happen by next Thursday. Its reported that there are no harmful injuries and no structures have been lost. Since Sunday afternoon, a brush fire has continued to burn areas in the Angeles National Forest forcing officials to shut down San Gabriel Canyon- a popular spot (our favorite spot) for campers and hikers- especially holidays like today! About 50 residents and 1,200 campers were evacuated from 3 different campgrounds. The fire, known as Williams Fire, is about 5% contained and burned about 3,600 acres so far. The Angeles National Forest sits right behind Azusa in Southern California. I will keep you posted and please pray everyone is ok! This area is very dear to my heart as I have family that lives close as well.
