Here is a great water filter from MSR! Its fits perfectly with REI’s Nalgene water bottle. Water filters have so many benefits like less weight you pack in, you never run out of water, and less plastic bottles!

backpacking campingI’ve needed a new backpack for a while but there is one thing that keeps me holding on to my bright, orange, functional yet non-functional, over-sized backpack- It was my dad’s! I’ve spent many trips Continue reading →

Dense stand of Redwoods growing through the clouds!

Blog: http://www.imoverthehill.com

For Hike Number 22, I drove to San Mateo County, just north of Santa Clara County, in Northern California. An easy drive up the 280 Freeway, very quick exit onto CA 92, and then a windy, foggy drive on Skyline Boulevard took me to Purisima Creek Redwoods OSP. Continue reading →

scenery makes the trip cover

I love hiking! Its so nice to get outside, away from the iPhone, TV, and all the other distractions in the world and appreciate Mother Nature! Next you are out in the great outdoors and you catch yourself starring at the ground, just remember Continue reading →
