We hiked Iron Mountain out in Poway in San Diego. The trail itself said 3.5 miles but I’ve read it can be upwards to 6 miles depending on which trail you take up the mountain. It tends to get crowded on the weekends because its so popular. We went on Memorial Day weekend and it wasn’t too bad. The views were absolutely stunning!
Jeez the sign for Iron Mountain looks menacing, LOL! I am so glad to have found a girly camper (hiker). I wish I could find more or a group nearby! San Diego isn’t that far from Riverside though! 😀

Love the pictures. I keep thinking I want to try hiking… now I may have to check into some local (and small) trails!

Looks a great trek, fantastic views and a remarkable sunny day. We need a few of those in England.

The view from those mountains look absolutely great. I think mountains and hills can get quite addictive. There is a lot of hard graft to get up them, but once there you get a great feeling of elation and accomplishment – plus stunning views!
