– If it doesn’t prohibit fire building, be aware of the weather- is it dry and hot? Maybe you should try to go without the fire!
– If you are building, make sure it is 15 feet away from tents, trees, shrubs, and Continue reading

If you asked me what I thought about “glamping” yesterday I would have told you its for stuck-up, rich people who can’t handle being without their materialistic possessions for even a day. Harsh- I know! Until this morning (for real) I looked at my comments on my To Glamp or Not To Glamp poll and saw my Australian follower James’ comment:
“Any type of camping is camping. Whatever you enjoy…. go with it, as long as your out there… just do it !!!”
I thought, “You know what?! He is right! ANY camping is camping and that’s great if you are outdoors and enjoying nature!” So thank you James for enlightening me! So let me continue on to this glamping post… Continue reading

If you are going with a group of friends Continue reading

This morning I woke feeling pink! I don’t know why but I did! Here are some fun options to wear while incorporating pink into the wild 🙂

Billabong’s Show Down poncho goes with just about everything! From leggings and skinny jeans to denim or linen shorts!

I love these Roxy Dover boots! With a distressed look and removable front tassel if you’re not into it, these boots are perfect for the outdoors!

So you’ve decided you want to go camping but you don’t know where to begin?!! The most important part about your trip is where you are going and who you are going with! First, take into consideration the weather. If you are going somewhere hot is there shade or a river? If its cold can you build a camp fire? I also like to look at the pattern of weather one week ahead of time. In Southern California you can have it be 90 degrees one day and tomorrow its 60 degrees- I know 60 degrees isn’t cold for any one else in the United States but for Southern California it is!
