First there was graffiti that flooded the area now this: last weekend I was absolutely appalled at the trash around Heaton Flats campground in Angeles National Forest in the San Gabriel mountains. I am soooo excited because I finally get to go camping!! Tomorrow we are doing a quick trip to the San Gabriel Mountains in Angeles National Forest to do a little gold searchin’ and have some fun! We hiked Iron Mountain out in Poway in San Diego. The trail itself said 3.5 miles but I’ve read it can be upwards to 6 miles depending on which trail you take up the mountain. It tends to get crowded on the weekends because its so popular. We went on Memorial Day weekend and it wasn’t too bad. The views were absolutely stunning! Continue reading
