This past weekend we drove up to the Azusa area in LA and went far back into the Angeles National Forest to Heaton Flats campground- the first campground I ever had a crush on! The weather was beautiful- a little warm during the day but at night it had a slight breeze that made it perfect to wear sandals, shorts, and a light hoody. We panned for gold during the day and at night drank wine and played our favorite card game: Phase 10. It was the perfect little getaway! Here are a few pictures I took: some scenery, a tarantula hawk attacking a tarantula (video to follow), and a cute squirrel!
Happy Camping 🙂

Some serious spiders over there – I mean they even have hairy legs too! The headline photo is very interesting, it looks like all the trees have been continually hit hard by wind from one direction!
