Spotting Deer

While hiking Stonewall Peak at Cuyamaca Rancho State Park this weekend, we had a run in with about 13 deer! I was rounding a bend by myself when I saw about 13 of them about 30 feet away! It startled me at first but then I was blown away at how beautiful and big they are! The video is shakey at first but then gets better! I didn’t catch all of them on film.

Happy Animal Spotting!

Another Successful Trip!

The Clothes I Bring…

It’s supposed to be warming up this weekend from the 30 degree weather but I love being prepared so here is what kind of clothes I bring with me while camping:
Billabong snowboarding jacket, O’Neill long sleeve ditsy print thermal, A&F scarf, Classic Tall UGGs, Patagonia R1 pullover, tall Roxy socks, and Element jeans. Some other clothes I am bringing are Quiksilver Girls hoody, Stance tall boot socks, and LA Gear Shape Up shoes for hiking. Leaving now and setting up camp in the dark! I will post pics on Sunday! Have a great weekend and Happy Camping!

Hopefully I Never Have to Use These

Picture this: You are out on a beautiful Saturday morning, hiking through the mountains with not a care in a world. All you take along with you is a water bottle and a Cliff bar. The terrain is getting treturous and all of a sudden you slip and fall. You can’t put weight on your leg and there is a deep gash in your calf. What can you do with no leg support and blood loss? The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 2,800 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 5 years to get that many views.
