A few weeks ago, we trekked 5 miles into The Narrows, a well-known gold panning spot in the Angeles National Forest back in the San Gabriel mountains. The hike out wasn’t bad. We left at 7:00 AM so the air was still cool, shade in our favor. We arrived around 9:00 AM a little winded but happy to be at our temporary home for the weekend. Coming back was a different story! The Narrows. Awww… sweet sound to my ears! I’ve been working my way to this hiking/camping spot for the past two years!
