We are heading up tonight to the mountains and I had to pick up a few things. What are they you ask?
– Apples: Great for hiking! Replenishes your thirst and hunger.
– Salt & Pepper: With all the dehydrated meals we get, we need to spice ’em up some way!
– Rice: Instant rice doesn’t use up too much fuel for the stove and an easy meal!
– Mio Energy: Water is great but to mix things up, try using powders or juice!
– Pancakes: All you do is add water… amazing and delicious!
– Jack Daniels: Why not?
– Girly Camping hat: Why not?
I’ll let you know how the trip turns out!
Happy Camping 🙂
Pancakes and Jack Daniels…yum.

My hiking partner and I always bring granola bars for snacks, bagels for breakfast, triscuits, colby-jack cheese, and summer sausage for lunch, and freeze-dried meals for dinner. The routine hasn’t gotten old yet since we don’t usually eat these things much at home.
We also always bring Jack Daniels. Although the extra weight kind of sucks at first, we usually get over it after the first night of drinking Jack Daniels. 😀

To mix it up – check out Packitgourmet.com…. They don’t sponsor us but the way we use and love them they should!!! I love love love the margarita mixes… we’ve used moonshine and tequila as the booze and I have to sayyyyy… hard to choose a favorite!!
