The Williams fire, which broke out September 2, was reported fully contained Wednesday morning according to Angeles National Forest officials. The fire scorched about 4,200 acres and forced 12,000 visitors to evacuate Labor Day weekend. San Gabriel Canyon remains closed to public but open to residents.
