We returned last night from our trip to Kaua’i. I had planned on camping in Polihale and hiking in Waimea Canyon. Plans are funny… they don’t always happen! We went on vacation with 16 family members and when you have a group that large, you don’t get around to doing certain things- but I’m ok with that! We hiked Iron Mountain out in Poway in San Diego. The trail itself said 3.5 miles but I’ve read it can be upwards to 6 miles depending on which trail you take up the mountain. It tends to get crowded on the weekends because its so popular. We went on Memorial Day weekend and it wasn’t too bad. The views were absolutely stunning! Continue reading →
