For every Lifestraw sold, a child in Africa receives clean water for an entire school year
We’ve been on a quest to find great, easy water filters! While browsing around at REI, Lifestraw caught my eye. Lifestraw is a personal water filter that allows you to drink directly from a water source or bottle. This was originally designed as an emergency relief tool to provide access to clean and safe water to people affected by natural disasters such as the Haitian earthquake and floods in Pakistan.
Lifestraw filters up to 1,000 liters, has a 5 year shelf life, and removes 99.99% of all bacteria and protozoa. Weighing at 2 oz., this is perfect for hiking, camping, and emergency situations. Its affordable too! At $21.95- its the perfect personal water filter! The best part about Lifestraw is the lives they’re impacting. For every Lifestraw water filter sold, a child in Africa receives clean water for an entire school year. Go to http://www.buylifestraw.com for more information on how you can help those in need!
Thanks for the review! I’ve never used a water filter to drink from an outdoor source, but I know I will have to sooner or later when I take up legit backpacking. Is this your favorite filter so far?

This is what I use! Only problem is not being able to pre filter water for cooking and such.
