I learned never to pitch a tent right on the bank of a river. I woke up with a spider on my nose, staring me in the eye with all eight of its, and the tent full of his relatives. It took my fishing buddy and I over an hour to kill them all, and remove their dead bodies from the tent, after which we moved the tent to the other side of the campsite.

Crazy!! There is one spot where we camp next a river and there are the biggest Daddy long legs I have ever seen! But when we pan for gold, we have to be next a river/stream so we can’t escape 😦

I don’t mind any creepy, crawly thing as long as I see it first.

I definitely struggle with the spiders…there’s a lot of hysterical screaming and whimpering before someone braver I am removes them!
